Re-Creating a User Friendly Website

This project was a rebuild. The existing website was outdated and not built in responsive mode. Because of the clients customer base, it was vital that the website function on tablet and mobile mode. By working with their team, I was able to design a layout that would support potential customers when they visit the site. This project continues to be a work in progress as I continue to work the client to identify all potential opportunities and revisit older processes.

PROBLEM:
• Not mobile or tablet friendly
• Broken links
• No call to action
• Missing a clear message
• Slow new customer registration process
• Hard to find the product

SOLUTIONS:
• Created a fully responsive site for desktop, tablet or mobile
• Edited the site to update content and connection
• The body of the home page now asks visitors a question that will direct them to the appropriate service.
• Crafted a concise sentence to communicate what the client offers
• Built a streamline registration process that walked potential customers through and easy, 3 step process
• Almost every page of the new site features an “Events” tab just under the main menu

CHALLENGES:
• This site was originally build in WordPress in 2011. It had many developers, designers, administrators add on and maintain it. This meant investing some more time in reviewing how the site was built, what was working and what was not.

IMPORVEMENTS:
• Overall a much more visually appealing and intuitive web page
• Easy to read and navigate from any platform
• Smooth payment system
• Easy registration
